Running the Length of Sweden
In Summer 2026, witness history as Linus embarks on an epic 2,600 kilometer journey from the Arctic wilderness of Treriksröset, Sweden’s northernmost point, to its southernmost point at Smygehuk. At 27 years old, he’ll become the youngest person ever to run the entire length of Sweden.

I’m Linus
.jpeg&w=3840&q=75)
My name is Linus. I’m 27 years old, from Sweden, and I’m just a regular guy, not a professional athlete or celebrity. I work as a software engineer, love paramotoring, and enjoy running, though I’m far from a professional runner. I run a 10k in just under an hour and have never completed an official marathon.
What I’ve Done
I’ve tackled challenging adventures like the King’s Trail in Sweden, summited Kebnekaise and Galdhøpiggen, and more recently completed the Tour du Mont Blanc. While those experiences were demanding, I found myself wanting something different, something simpler but sustained over a much longer period.
Why I’m Doing This
This journey represents a chance to set a world record as the youngest person to run the entire length of Sweden. More importantly, it’s about proving that with enough determination, anyone can achieve extraordinary things. I want to show that you don’t need to be an ultra runner to take on massive challenges.
Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone
This project pushes me beyond my comfort zone in ways I’ve never experienced before: seeking sponsors, organizing an event and team, learning about recovery and endurance, and doing it all publicly. As someone once said, “life is electric bro and you can just do things.” This is me doing exactly that.

FAQ
What makes this attempt unique?
At 27 years old, I’m attempting to become the youngest person to run the entire length of Sweden from Treriksröset to Smygehuk. While others have completed this route before, this would set a new age record for the journey.
What’s your running experience?
I’m not a professional runner. I currently run 10k in just under an hour and have never completed an official marathon. I’ve done challenging hikes like the King’s Trail and Tour du Mont Blanc, but this will be my first ultra-distance running project.
How are you training for this?
I’m following a 9 to 12 month training program, gradually building from my current 10km per week to being able to handle 40 to 50km daily over extended periods. This includes building endurance, strength training for injury prevention, and testing all equipment and nutrition strategies.
What support will you have during the run?
I’ll have a support vehicle following me with a dedicated team handling logistics, nutrition, and safety. This supported format allows me to focus entirely on the running while ensuring proper recovery and medical support if needed.
How long will it take?
I’m planning for 50 to 60 days to complete the approximately 2,600 kilometer route. This means averaging 35 to 40km per day, which allows for rest days and accounts for challenging weather conditions.
Why are you doing this?
This is about proving that ordinary people can do extraordinary things with enough determination. I want to push my limits, inspire others, and create something memorable while I’m young enough to attempt such challenges.
